Cosplayer Snow Containment: Containment Zone – At the Tokyo Game Show 2024 which ended a few days ago, there were lots of game announcements from various developers and publishers. Don’t forget, there were also lots of beautiful and cool Cosplayers who enlivened the event at every video game booth there.

However, it seems that one of the Snowbreak: Containment Zone Cosplayers had to face a lot of protests from Chinese players. What really happened?

Cause of Cosplayer Snowbreak: Containment Zone Protested by Chinese Players

This information is currently being widely discussed by the Snowbreak: Containment Zone game community. They found information that one of the Snowbreak Cosplayers who also enlivened their game booth at the Tokyo Game Show 2024 received many protests from Chinese players.

Based on the information obtained, this all started when the Japanese branch of the Snowbreak game hired several Cosplayers to promote their game at the Tokyo Game Show, fans from China browsed the Cosplayers’ social media.

Then the Chinese Players found out that one of the Cosplayers was known to be a Feminist which they didn’t like. They found this information from an old post from a Cosplayer 9 years ago which contained insults towards men.

Knowing this information, one of Snowbreak’s fans is known to have tried to contact him via PM on his social media account. The Cosplayer explained that the post 9 years ago that was questioned by the Chinese Player was a form of his frustration with the dispute he had with his father.

He tried to explain that at that time, when he was young he often fought with his father until he was fed up with what was happening. Letting out his frustration, he vented his pent-up emotions on his social media account.

After 9 years have passed, the Cosplayer has changed. He didn’t expect that the old post would be brought up by someone else to cause a problem like this. He emphasized that he does not hate anyone or men at all, as protested by Player Snowbreak from China.

Official Statement from the Developer

Knowing information about the commotion that occurred in the Snowbreak community in China, the developer also gave their official statement. One of the official Snowbreak developer accounts apologized for this incident.

At the time this article was written (11/10), they will be stricter in their efforts to promote the game by inviting Cosplayers so that incidents like this don’t happen again. The development team also carried out further investigations regarding current problems as a lesson for the future.
