Even though Pocketpair as the developer of Palworld still has to face the pressure of a lawsuit from Nintendo since last September, the developer certainly hasn’t just abandoned the game and is still providing various updates and new content.
In one of the recent updates, they changed the technique of summoning Pals (the name for monsters that players have caught) which previously required the action of throwing a ball like a Pokemon, to just holding the ball in your hand and Pals will immediately appear near the player.
Pocketpair itself did not explain the reasons behind this change, but this is most likely consistent with the patents that are the basis of Nintendo’s lawsuit, which cover the technicalities of using an object as a projectile to capture or summon monsters.
Fans certainly speculate that this might be done by the developer as an effort to mitigate losses if Nintendo wins the lawsuit. However, strangely, even though the technicalities of summoning Pals themselves have changed, the arrest process itself has not changed when this article was published.
There’s still quite a lot to play with
Even though Palworld’s popularity has fallen compared to when it was released in January, when it reached two million players simultaneously, the number of daily players in the last few months has been quite stable at at least 19 thousand people.
This certainly proves that Palworld does have potential as an alternative to Pokemon, especially for those who don’t have a console from Nintendo and prefer to play video games on a PC.
It cannot be denied that fan I’m also worried of course about what will happen to Palworld in the future if Nintendo wins, considering that one of its own lawsuits requires that Palworld be withdrawn from circulation in addition to having to pay a loss of 10 million yen or around one billion rupiah.
So, what do you think about your response? crime about this? Come on, let’s get straight to it share your opinion in the comments column.
