HoYoverse has just announced all the content that will fill Zenless Zone Zero version 2.8, through a Special Program live broadcast broadcast on several platforms. Many new characters, stories and interesting events were announced on this ZZZ 2.8 Livestream broadcast.
Zenless Zone Zero version 2.8 will start around May 6, 2026. Here is a summary of all the announced content:
New Characters
There are 2 new characters who will debut in version 2.8, namely Promeia and Starlight Billy.
Promeia is one of the members of the new Krampus, who was introduced a little later than Zhao, Dialyn, and Banyue. Meanwhile, Starlight Billy is the S-Rank version of Billy the Kid, one of the Starter characters in Zenless Zone Zero.
Promeia
Promeia is an S-Rank Ice Anomaly Agent, whose game focuses on triggering Disorder and Abloom. He has a fast Decibel charging ability, so his Ultimate can be triggered relatively quickly. There is also the ability to leave attacks in the arena, so Promeia can freely fill the Anomaly bar, without needing to be in the arena. Lastly, his ability to increase Abloom DMG, is much needed in many other Anomaly characters.

Billy’s Starlight
Starlight Billy is an S-Rank Physical Rupture Agent, whose game tends to be Hypercarry. Similar to the A-Rank version, Billy still uses a gun in fighting. The difference is, this time he also uses his motorbike, while attacking the enemy. If you like Tokusatsu, you will definitely understand the references the developer took for Starlight Billy.

In this version, Miyabi will also get a new skin, which highlights the Hoshimi family background. This outfit shows a different side of Miyabi, which is more traditional, compared to her basic outfit which emphasizes her professional side.
New story
This version will be the conclusion to Season 2, so there will be another Epilogue story to complete the ongoing story in the Feilume Heights area. This time, Promeia and Billy will be stars who will be very relevant throughout this story.

Polychrome Guide Feature
There’s an interesting new feature that will show all the Polychrome that can be had in one version. This feature will really help players, to estimate how much Polychrome can be collected, to get the desired character or W-Engine. This feature can also be used as a reminder, if a player forgets about an ongoing event.
ZZZ on Steam
At the end live streamingThe developer announced that Zenless Zone Zero will be coming to Steam in the near future. Players can do it wish list from now on, to get notifications for the official release.
